Authorities Question Approval of August Concert at Non‑Compliant Stadium

The upcoming music concert scheduled for August 1 at the Noida indoor stadium raises serious doubts among safety regulators. High‑profile guests, including central ministers, VIPs, and popular artists, are expected to attend. However, the Chief Fire Officer has publicly stated that the stadium does not meet fire safety standards and therefore cannot be granted a fire NOC. Critics ask how the event received clearance despite these shortcomings, pointing to potential lapses in administrative oversight and the responsibilities of the stadium operator, the event organizers, and the Noida development authority.
