Authorities Confiscate Synthetic Mawaa and Homemade Sweets in Devas

A special inspection team appointed by the Devas administration seized a large quantity of synthetic mawaa and the sweets produced from it during a raid on two local confectioneries. Approximately 600 kilograms of ready‑made sweets were found hidden in the shops' storage areas.

The seized items have been catalogued, sampled, and sent for laboratory verification. Officials warned that retailers found violating the ban on synthetic mawaa will face appropriate legal measures, emphasizing the need for safe and hygienic festive treats.
