Authorities Cite CCTV and Drone Footage to Identify CKP Protestors Involved in Delhi Unrest

Delhi police officials have announced that the identification of participants in the recent CKP protest violence is being driven by extensive CCTV and drone footage collected during the incident. Five FIRs have already been recorded at the Kotla, Connaught Place and Parliament Street police stations, each reflecting different aspects of the disorder – from obstructing official duties to attacking officers and vandalising public property.

The officials highlighted that the video material, together with other electronic evidence, is pivotal to tracing the individuals who assembled illegally, disrupted governmental operations and caused damage to state assets. The police indicated that more FIRs may be entered should the investigation uncover further infractions.

A distinct FIR was filed for operating a drone over the Parliament without permission, and another case addresses the alleged pre‑meditated plan to stir up violence. Law‑enforcement agencies say the gathered evidence points to a coordinated effort, and they are prepared to prosecute under sections of the Indian Penal Code, Arms Act and the Public Property Protection Act.

The department assures the public that the inquiry is impartial, and that every suspect identified through the video will be held accountable according to the law.
