Authorities to auction unmoved abandoned vehicles after one‑week notice

Should owners ignore the seven‑day notice, the vehicle will be taken to a depot, and a public notice will be published in newspapers. Fifteen days after that publication, the unattended vehicle will be auctioned openly, allowing any bidder to purchase it.

The auction proceeds are intended to fund further cleanup operations. The minister emphasized that this initiative targets only those cars that have been abandoned for an extended period, not vehicles parked temporarily.
