Ashok Mittal defends constitutional right to form separate groups

Senior Rajya Sabha member Ashok Mittal responded to reports of a faction forming within the Trinamool Congress, stating that the Constitution permits legislators to organize themselves into distinct groups. While acknowledging the right to create separate caucuses, he warned that walkouts and coordinated absences run contrary to the spirit of parliamentary democracy.
