Meanwhile, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw held a review meeting with senior officials on Wednesday. He said that trees had fallen at 10 places and those issues were resolved quickly. Railway operations are being closely monitored to ensure safe and smooth train services.
In Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district, the collector has asked people to stay at home unless their work is essential until Wednesday afternoon.
Uttar Pradesh has also taken precautionary steps. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to monitor weather conditions, prepare for rescue operations, relocate people if required and protect crops and animals, as rain and strong winds are expected from October 28 to 31.
