Army and Police Joint Effort Rescues Teen in Jammu‑Kashmir

On September 4, a joint operation by the army and Jammu‑Kashmir police rescued an unconscious teenage girl from the Menhdar stream near Balnoi in the Mankot region. The girl, estimated to be 14‑16 years old, was pulled from the water by army troops who acted within minutes of the report.

The rescued teen was handed over to ICPP Mankot officer Parvez Ali, who arranged immediate transport to the Menhdar Sub‑District Hospital for medical attention. Police officers on site supported the rescue and helped secure the area.

Authorities have yet to confirm the girl's identity or the cause of her fainting. Residents of the area praised the rapid response, noting the army’s consistent presence and assistance in the Pir Panjal region during emergencies.
