Armed Fugitive Ashu Yadav Injured in Police Clash Near Jhadwa Railway Underpass

Police from Tamkuhiraj and Tarayasujan police stations, along with additional personnel, confronted Ashu Yadav, a wanted criminal with a ₹50,000 reward, at the Jhadwa railway underpass. Yadav, who had been on the run for attacking a police team on a highway, complained of abdominal pain during questioning. While being taken to a medical facility on a police bike, he allegedly pulled a service pistol from an officer’s holster and attempted to flee, opening fire on the police. The ensuing exchange left him with a bullet wound to his foot. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment, and the police recovered the weapon, a magazine, live ammunition and fired cartridges.
