Apply Now for Specialist Doctor Positions in Bihar’s State Health Committee

The State Health Committee (SHS) of Bihar has opened applications for 450 specialist doctor roles in its public hospitals. Vacancies are allocated as follows: obstetrics‑gynecology – 94, paediatrics – 115, anaesthesiology – 132, MD Medicine/Physician – 60, general surgery – 27, orthopaedic surgery – 22. The online submission window opens on 7 August at 10:00 am and closes on 21 August at 6:00 pm. Prospective candidates must register on the SHS website, fill out the application form and upload proof of qualifications. Required credentials include an MD/MS/DNB or equivalent diploma for the respective specialty, and a minimum age of 21 years with an upper limit of 37 years as of 1 August, subject to relaxation for reserved groups. The selection framework includes document scrutiny, merit ranking and, where applicable, interviews. Appointees will be placed on the pay scale of ₹90,000–₹1,20,000 per month, based on the specific post and their academic standing.
