Apply Now for Indian Oil’s Apprentice Programme – 1,450 Positions Available

A fresh opportunity has emerged for young job‑seekers as Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) publicised a bumper vacancy of 1,450 apprentice posts. The online application process began on 14 July and will remain open until 12 August.

The openings are diverse: 274 Trade Apprentice – Attendant Operator roles for chemical plants, 314 Trade Apprentice – Fitter positions in the mechanical arena, 327 Technician Apprentice seats in chemical, 83 in mechanical, 277 in electrical, and 70 in instrumentation. Administrative vacancies comprise 21 Secretariat Assistant posts at Panipat, 9 at New Delhi, 2 Accountant positions, 55 Data Entry Operator slots for fresh graduates, and 18 for candidates holding a recognized skill certification.

Eligibility mandates registration on the NATS/NAPS portal and possession of specific qualifications – a 3‑year B.Sc. in science streams, a 2‑year ITI in fitting with at least a 10th pass, 3‑year diplomas in chemical, petrochemical, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation or related engineering fields, a 3‑year BA/BSc/BCom, a 12th pass, or a domestic data‑entry skill certificate. Age criteria require applicants to be between 18 and 24 years old as of 31 July, with permissible relaxations for reserved categories.

Shortlisting will be based on document scrutiny, merit ranking, and a mandatory medical fitness test. The merit list is expected on 20 August, and document verification may occur between 27 August and 3 September.
