Job aspirants seeking executive and fixed-term contract roles in the fertiliser sector may find an opening at Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL). The company has released an official notification inviting applications for 11 positions, starting from Additional Chief Manager.
Among the vacancies are one post for Additional Chief Manager, Senior Manager and Manager (Ammonia), and one for Senior Manager and Manager (Contracts and Materials). There are two openings each for Deputy Manager and Assistant Manager (Contracts and Materials), and for Assistant Manager and Senior Engineer (Mechanical). Urea-related positions include one vacancy for Deputy Manager (Urea) and Assistant Manager, and one for Additional Chief Manager, Senior Manager and Manager (Urea). Security (FTC) has one post for Senior Manager and Manager, and Medical (FTC) has two posts for Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager and Officer.
The online application process began on October 16. Interested candidates should visit the official HURL website and complete their registration by November 6, the final date for submission.
Educational requirements differ by role. Ammonia candidates need a full-time regular engineering degree in Chemical or Chemical Technology with a minimum of 60 per cent marks from a recognised institution or university. Contracts and Materials applicants may hold a full-time regular engineering degree in any specialisation, a full-time regular MBA in Materials Management, or a two-year regular PG diploma in Materials Management. Mechanical candidates need a full-time regular Mechanical Engineering degree, and Urea candidates need a full-time regular engineering degree in Chemical or Chemical Technology.
For Security roles, applicants must have a full-time regular graduation and at least five years of experience as a commissioned officer in the armed forces, paramilitary forces or police, or have served as a Class I officer in the CAPF. Medical applicants need an MBBS degree along with either a minimum three-month certificate in Industrial Health training or a diploma in Industrial Health. All posts also require relevant experience ranging from 4 to 16 years.
The upper age limit varies between 32 and 55 years depending on the post, calculated as on September 30, 2026.
Candidates will be evaluated through shortlisting and screening tests, written examinations, trade or skill tests where applicable, interviews and physical fitness tests. Successful applicants will be paid between Rs 40,000 and Rs 2,40,000 per month, depending on their post.
HURL is a joint venture of Indian Oil Corporation Limited, NTPC Limited and Coal India Limited, set up in partnership with Fertilisers Corporation of India Limited and Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation Limited. Its core objective is to establish and operate advanced, environmentally sustainable and energy-efficient natural gas-based ammonia-urea fertiliser complexes in Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh), Sindri (Jharkhand) and Barauni (Bihar).
