The National Institute of Science Communication (NIC) has opened direct recruitment for 376 Scientific/Technical Assistant‑A vacancies classified as Group‑B (non‑gazetted). The roles are distributed as follows: 300 positions for Computer Science & Information Technology, 26 for Electronics & Communication Engineering, and 50 for Data Science & Artificial Intelligence. Applications will be accepted online starting 1 September 2026, 10 a.m., and will close on 30 September 2026, 5:30 p.m. Candidates must have completed an M.Sc., M.S., MCA, B.E. or B.Tech in the relevant field and possess a valid GATE score in the corresponding subject. The upper age limit is 30 years, with concessions for reserved categories as per government rules. Salary is fixed between ₹35,400 and ₹1,12,400 per month, together with other allowances. The fee for General, OBC (NCL) and EWS candidates is ₹800; SC, ST, PwBD and women applicants are exempt from the fee.
