APDCL to Disburse State Subsidy Under PM Surya Ghar Scheme by Tuesday

The Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) has received a clear directive from the chief minister to ensure that the ₹41.67 crore subsidy is wired to all 9,289 beneficiaries before the upcoming Tuesday.

The payment will settle the outstanding state contribution for the free‑electricity programme, allowing households to continue receiving power without additional charges. APDCL officials are coordinating with banks to complete the transfers within the stipulated deadline.

This financial step comes as the state continues to provide essential relief services, including food distribution, temporary shelters and healthcare facilities, to communities still recovering from the latest flood surge.
