Anti‑Vehicle Theft Unit Nabs Two Bike Thieves Near Raghuvir Nagar
Delhi, July 2 – Acting on a secret tip, the Anti‑Auto Theft Squad set up an ambush on Raghuvir Nagar’s Ganda Nala Road late on Tuesday evening. Two unidentified men approached the location on an unregistered scooter. When they spotted the police presence, they attempted a U‑turn and lost control, crashing onto the road.
Officers swiftly moved in, cuffing both suspects—identified as Ajay (aka Chirag) and Shivam (aka Aman). Both men have been linked to multiple two‑wheeler thefts across the city. During interrogation they admitted participation in several vehicle‑theft cases, leading investigators to recover a number of stolen motorcycles that had been hidden in various parts of Delhi.
The operation demonstrates the AATS’s proactive approach in dismantling organized bike‑theft rings following a surge in two‑wheeler robberies.
