Anti‑Terror Squad Nabs Farmer Over Cross‑Border SIM Activation

The Jaipur Anti‑Terrorism Squad, acting on a tip from intelligence agencies, arrested a Bikaner farmer suspected of handing over a one‑time password that enabled the activation of an Indian mobile SIM in Pakistan. The suspect, Anil Kumar Bishnoi, allegedly shared the OTP on July 17, after which the SIM was used by an associate of the Shahzad Bhatti gang, a group believed to be involved in terrorist financing and other illegal operations. The case is being pursued under anti‑terrorism and telecommunications regulations. Police have seized the SIM and are conducting forensic analysis while questioning the farmer about any additional contacts with foreign entities.
