Animal Rights Group Praises Police Action in Bihar Dog Abuse Case

PETA India’s cruelty response unit has openly commended the Messag police for filing an FIR against the perpetrator of a reported sexual assault on a female dog in Bhojpur’s Bichhwan village. The organization highlighted that the complaint, filed by caretaker Mukesh Kumar, was substantiated by video footage that led to charges under Sections 62 and 325 of the Indian Penal Code, 2023, alongside sections 11(1)(A) and 11(1)(i) of the 1960 Animal Cruelty Prevention Act.
