State DGP Gaurav Yadav shared details of the operation via a post on X, praising the SSOC team’s swift action ahead of Republic Day. The suspect, influenced by handlers based abroad—Nishan Jaurian, Adesh Jamrai, and Simma Deol—was plotting under their explicit orders.
Legal proceedings commenced with an FIR at the Amritsar SSOC station, as probe teams delve deeper into the module’s operations. This development echoes a recent Gurdaspur raid where five high-tech firearms were confiscated from a smuggling ring catering to local gangsters, also directed from overseas.
Yadav emphasized the force’s dedication to dismantling criminal networks that threaten Punjab’s stability.
