Amit Shah Visits Karnal for Anti-Anarchy Campaign and Haryana Day
In a move highlighting both historical reverence and political outreach, Home Minister Amit Shah will join a civic march in Karnal this Thursday. The procession, branded under the 'Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy' banner, will traverse from Sector-12 to Dyanand Chowk. This specific event is a localized stop within a larger BJP-run campaign aimed at rebutting criticism from the India bloc directed at the Election Commission of India and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Extensive security arrangements have been put in place to facilitate the minister's safe transit through Karnal. Following the demonstration, his itinerary directs him to Ambala for a ceremonial engagement. He will officially open the modern Shaheed Smarak and walk through the memorial's premises. Though this marks his first official booking in Ambala Cantonment, it follows two prior campaign rallies in the same locale.
Diverging from electoral politics, this visit is anchored in commemorating the First War of Independence. The event pays solemn homage to the 1857 freedom fighters and functions as a key milestone within Haryana's 60th Foundation Day functions. The state celebrated its silver jubilee transition sixty years ago, and the minister's participation underscores the government's focus on heritage and unity.
During the recent anniversary celebrations, the Home Minister took to social media to issue a formal tribute to Haryana. Posting on X, he lauded the state's unwavering commitment to national excellence. He specifically commended the armed forces, competitive sportsmen, and agrarian workers for their distinct achievements. Acknowledging the region's legacy of strength and prosperity, he concluded by wishing the state continued success and upward momentum.
