Ambulance Crash on Highway Turns Fatal After Nagaur Hotel Shooting

The chain of events that began with an accidental shooting at Nilkanth Hotel in Nagaur culminated in a deadly ambulance crash on the nearby national highway. After being shot, the injured hotel employee was loaded onto an ambulance and rushed toward Jodhpur for advanced medical care.

While navigating the highway near Khainvsar, the vehicle collided with a cow that had unexpectedly stepped onto the road. The driver lost control, and the ambulance tipped onto an open drainage channel, causing severe trauma to the patient.

Medical personnel on board reported that the employee’s condition was already critical when the crash occurred. Despite receiving immediate first‑aid, he could not be revived. The ambulance driver and two accompanying staff members escaped with only minor injuries.

Police have sealed the hotel and initiated a forensic sweep, while the transport accident is being investigated by traffic authorities. The dual tragedy has raised questions about emergency response protocols, especially the safety of ambulances on high‑traffic routes.
