Tension erupted inside a popular eatery in Amar Colony when a casual seating argument turned violent, leaving a teenager fighting for his life. Seventeen-year-old Sahil had gone out for dinner with friends when a passing group allegedly touched his chair. His objection led to heated words, after which the youths briefly exited the restaurant before returning with a firearm. Eyewitness accounts suggest one member of the group fired a single shot at Sahil and then escaped with his companions. The injured student was quickly taken to Moolchand Hospital and later referred to AIIMS Trauma Centre, where he is currently on ventilator support. Police received the distress call at 7:54 pm and reached the spot within minutes, only to find the victim already hospitalised. A minor suspect has since been detained, though investigators say he did not pull the trigger. Multiple teams are analysing CCTV footage and conducting searches to apprehend the other two accused. Senior officers, including the station house officer and assistant commissioner of police, are personally supervising the investigation. The neighbourhood remains on edge as authorities work to establish the full sequence of events and ensure swift justice.
