Alwar Leads with 85% Participation in Rajasthan’s Second Urban Election Phase

Alwar district topped the voter turnout chart in the second phase of Rajasthan's urban local body elections, achieving an impressive 85.22 percent participation. This performance outstripped the state average and positioned Alwar as the most engaged district among the 147 bodies voting.

Other high-performing districts included Baran (83.07 percent), Bharatpur (83.65 percent), and Bikaner (75.09 percent). The strong turnout in Alwar reflects effective voter mobilization efforts and heightened public awareness about the importance of municipal governance.

The State Election Commission highlighted that such robust engagement is crucial for the legitimacy of urban administrations and encourages continued civic participation.
