Alleged land deals favor chief’s close allies, says YSRCP

YSRCP officials have raised serious concerns over recent land allocations in Visakhapatnam. According to the party, valuable parcels of city land have been transferred at nominal rates to individuals and companies closely linked to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

The party points out that many of the beneficiaries are newly formed real‑estate firms with little track record, raising questions about the transparency of the deals. Additionally, YSRCP claims that a local minister’s brother and a regional MP are implicated in a large‑scale land‑grabbing scandal.

These allegations come ahead of upcoming local body elections, and YSRCP argues that the timing of the land‑grant announcements is merely a political stunt designed to distract voters from pressing issues such as water scarcity and industrial development.
