Alleged ISI link to Narayan Singh Choura raises security concerns

During a rally in Amritsar, opposition leader Bikram Singh Majithia highlighted what he described as a dangerous security loophole in Punjab. According to police records, Narayan Singh Choura, who was present at the Nanakdot Gurudwara when Sukhbir Singh Badal was assaulted, is suspected of being an ISI agent with cross‑border training.

Majithia argued that the suspect’s alleged access to explosives and assault rifles, including RDX and AK‑47s, should have triggered immediate action from the state police. Instead, he claimed the suspect was placed under "Z‑plus" security, a decision he called "incomprehensible".

The leader demanded a nationwide CBI inquiry, accusing the Mann government of shielding dangerous elements and putting the lives of political leaders and ordinary citizens at risk. He warned that if the pattern of delayed investigations continues, Punjab’s moderate political leadership could be systematically eliminated.
