All Party Floor Leaders to Convene Ahead of Monsoon Session, Says Minister

The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs announced on July 18 that a joint meeting of floor‑leaders from all parties in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will be held on 19 July, 2026, at 11 a.m. The session is intended to iron out agenda items for the forthcoming monsoon session.

Minister Kiran Rijiju highlighted that the NCPI, which recently attracted around twenty new MPs, has submitted a request for formal acknowledgment by the Speaker. While the request is under review, the floor‑leaders’ meeting will serve as a venue for addressing procedural concerns and sharing perspectives on pending bills.

The invitation, addressed to Sudip Bandyopadhyay, also extends to the NCPI’s chief whip, Dr. Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar. Rijiju called on all participants to work collaboratively so that parliamentary business proceeds without interruption when the monsoon session commences.
