All Delhi Metro Entrances Open as Rail Timetable Resumes Post‑Protest

New Delhi – The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) confirmed on Saturday night that every metro station in the capital now has its entry and exit gates operational. The announcement came after the security‑related shutdown triggered by the CJP rally.

The DMRC’s post on X highlighted that interchange facilities are also back in service across the entire network. In parallel, Indian Railways issued a notice that all train services will revert to the regular schedule from midnight on 11 October.

A prior notice from DMRC had warned that 45 stations, sealed at 9 PM on Friday for safety reasons, would remain closed until 10 PM on Saturday, pending a review by security agencies.

The Delhi administration had originally planned to close 57 stations in anticipation of the demonstration. However, the Supreme Court intervened on Friday, directing the central government that metro operations should not be entirely suspended for the protest scheduled on Saturday.

DMRC subsequently issued a revised advisory, stating that the gates of 45 stations would stay shut for a predefined period to ensure public safety. The stations most affected included Janpath, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat, Lok Kalyan Marg, Rajiv Chowk, New Delhi, Seva Tirth, Mandi House, Barakhamba Road, ITO, Delhi Gate, Khan Market, Ram Krishna Ashram Marg, Jhandewalan, Supreme Court, Indraprastha, Shivaji Stadium, Delhi Haat‑INA, Hauz Khas, Jor Bagh, Lajpat Nagar, Jangpura, Ashram, Jamia Millia Islamia, Chawri Bazar, Jama Masjid, Karol Bagh, Rajendra Place, University, Kashmiri Gate, Inderlok, Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, Netaji Subhash Place, Azadpur, Jangpura, Haiderpur Badli Mor, Majlis Park, Seelampur, Maujpur‑Babarpur, Jafrabad, Welcome, Yamuna Vihar, Khajuri Khas, Shahdara and Rithala.

With the metro gates reopened and train schedules restored, commuters across Delhi can expect a seamless travel experience moving forward.
