Akhilesh Yadav Meets Student Protesters Amid Police Action at PM House

During the police-led dispersal of an opposition rally outside the Prime Minister’s residence, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav joined a sit‑in with party MP Dimple Yadav and other members. The group visited the detained student protesters, expressing solidarity and condemning what they described as excessive police force.

Akhilesh Yadav, along with AISHA officials, including national president Neha and JNU student union secretary Danish, discussed the ongoing agitation and pledged parliamentary support for the student demands.

The leaders also highlighted that several Samajwadi Party MPs—Rajiv Rai, Ikra Hasan, Priya Saroj, and Pushpendra Saroj—met the students, reiterating the party’s commitment to stand with the youth movement.
