AK Sharma Condemns Opposition Chaos in UP Assembly Session

The Uttar Pradesh Assembly's budget session began on a stormy note Monday, with opposition leaders staging a noisy protest during Governor Anandiben Patel's address. SP MLAs' relentless sloganeering forced the Governor to navigate through the din to finish her speech.

In a sharp rebuttal, Energy Minister AK Sharma declared the opposition's conduct intolerable. 'Such interference in House proceedings must stop. They disrespected a woman dignitary, drawing nationwide outrage,' he stated emphatically.

Pointing to a pattern, Sharma said the opposition disrupts when short on agenda. 'Instead of debating people's issues, they stall the House.' He contrasted this with BJP's governance, delivering amenities previously withheld by rivals. With BJP at the helm in both Delhi and Lucknow, public satisfaction is soaring, he claimed.

Addressing specific accusations, Sharma touted initiatives honoring Ahilyabai Holkar, including her statue at the revered Kashi Vishwanath corridor and renamed institutions. 'Our actions speak louder than words, countering opposition's false narratives.'

The minister attributed the ruckus to opposition envy over UP's rapid infrastructure boom. 'They neglected development before; now they howl at progress.' As the session progresses, this clash signals intense battles ahead over the state budget and policies.
