The Ajit Dada Pawar Tourism Park, spread over 55 hectares of reserved forest land in Kanhere, was officially opened by Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar on Friday. The park, developed at a cost of 8.75 crore rupees, features a network of walking trails, a swing bridge, a solar‑energy zone, a rocky garden and a butterfly sanctuary. Designed in two phases, the facility aims to blend recreation with conservation, providing visitors with hands‑on exposure to local flora and fauna while fostering a culture of environmental responsibility. Pawar praised the project as a symbol of Baramati’s forward‑looking development and a catalyst for heightened ecological awareness.
