Air Quality Deteriorates in Noida and Ghaziabad Amid Dry Conditions
Air‑pollution monitoring stations in Noida report alarming AQI figures. Sector‑116 recorded an AQI of 350, placing it in the red zone, while Sector‑125, Sector‑1 and Sector‑62 showed values of 299, 261 and 187 respectively. In Ghaziabad, the Loni station logged an AQI of 340, also in the red zone, followed by Sanjay Nagar (248), Indirapuram (186) and Govindpuram (156). Delhi’s own stations reflected a mixed picture: Alipur (238), Bawana (222), Mathura Road (225) and Burari Crossing (210) were among the higher readings, whereas Chandni Chowk (198) and Anand Vihar (179) reported lower levels. The data highlights that pollution hotspots are unevenly distributed, with Noida’s Sector‑116 and Ghaziabad’s Loni exceeding the critical AQI threshold of 300.
