Air‑quality breach leads to heavy fine for Ivoire County project in Noida
The UPPCB’s investigation highlighted that the construction activities at Ivoire County were a primary factor behind the sudden increase in the Air Quality Index around the CAQM station in Sector‑116. Observers noted that the site was releasing large quantities of dust due to vehicle movement, open‑air painting, and the absence of a functional dust‑suppression strategy. Both anti‑smog guns installed on the premises were found inactive, and the required wind‑break walls and green‑net coverings on the unfinished structures were missing. Given the severity of the infractions, the board has advised levying a ₹5 million environmental compensation and has sent the findings to the chief environmental officer for prompt enforcement.
