Air India to Run 14 Weekly Services Between Delhi and Bhogpuram, Boosting Connectivity

Starting 17 August, Air India will operate fourteen weekly flights between Delhi and the newly opened Alluri Sivaram Rao International Airport at Bhogpuram. The move is part of the airline's strategy to channel passenger traffic through its Delhi hub, providing easier access to both domestic and international destinations.

The Bhogpuram terminal, covering 77,342 square metres, is equipped with 22 traditional check‑in desks, 18 automated bag‑drop stations, a cutting‑edge screening system, advanced baggage‑handling technology and seven aerobridges, delivering a comfortable travel experience.

Although commercial operations shift to Bhogpuram, the older Visakhapatnam airport will remain in use for defence, police, VIP and unscheduled special flights.

Air India's timetable, valid until 24 October 2026, also includes daily flights from Bhogpuram to Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Vijayawada, thereby expanding air connectivity for the state of Andhra Pradesh and neighboring regions.
