Air Force Parachutists to Perform at Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav

The Indian Air Force's Akashganga skydiving team will deliver a precision parachuting show at the Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav in Raipur. The celebration honours the state's Foundation Day, observed on November 1.

Squadron Leader Aryan Kaintura will lead eight experienced Parachute Jump Instructors in a jump from an AN-32 aircraft flying at 8,000 feet above ground level. The jumpers belong to the Parachutists Training School in Agra. Their performance is expected to highlight the professionalism and coordination of Air Force military parachuting experts.

The Akashganga team was formed on August 10, 1987, at Air Force Station Agra. Its history spans close to four decades of service and achievement. The team remains affiliated with PTS Agra and embodies the adventurous spirit and commitment to excellence of the Indian Air Force.

A highlight of the team's record is its participation in the 2019 Republic Day celebrations, where it formed a canopy relative work hand-plane formation with a 20 by 30 feet national flag. Formations of this kind depend on outstanding parachuting proficiency, precise teamwork and deep trust among the jumpers.

Every Akashganga display is the product of intensive training and detailed planning. The team's work reflects the Air Force's values of Mission, Integrity and Excellence.

The performance at the Rajyotsav will allow residents to see military skydiving first-hand. It is also intended to motivate young people to pursue careers in the armed forces and to strengthen ties between the Indian Air Force and the citizens of Chhattisgarh.
