AIADMK Refutes DMK Collaboration Claims on X
The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam took to the social media platform X on Saturday to repudiate allegations made by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay that it was colluding with the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. In a terse post, AIADMK asserted that it has continuously challenged the DMK politically and electorally, fielding candidates across all 234 assembly constituencies in every election cycle.
The party emphasized its commitment to functioning as an independent opposition, refusing to be drawn into any covert partnerships. AIADMK also attacked the TVK administration for alleged political opportunism, stating that the ruling coalition had attracted parties already part of a DMK‑led alliance in order to secure power.
Vijay’s earlier remarks at a Karur gathering labeled the DMK a “bad force” and the AIADMK a “weak force,” suggesting a joint responsibility for the state’s alleged misgovernance and corruption. AIADMK dismissed these accusations, urging the public to look at its track record of electoral contests and its stance as a genuine opposition voice.
