Artificial Intelligence Workshops Proposed for Bihar's Lawmakers

Bihar’s chief minister, Samrat Choudhary, announced plans to introduce specialized artificial intelligence (AI) training sessions for members of the state legislature. The proposal, delivered on Saturday in Gaya, aims to equip MLAs with the skills required to harness AI for improved policy formulation and service delivery.

Choudhary highlighted that democratic strength is directly linked to the proactive engagement of representatives and their ability to hold the executive accountable. He reminded legislators that instruments such as zero hour, attention‑drawing questions and cut‑motion proposals serve as effective mechanisms for voicing constituent issues.

Citing the nation’s swift digital evolution—spurred by widespread mobile penetration and government‑led initiatives—the chief minister stressed that the next wave of technological influence will be AI‑driven. Consequently, he urged lawmakers to familiarize themselves with AI to make governance more transparent and outcomes‑oriented.

The CM reaffirmed that Bihar’s development agenda prioritises industry, good governance and investment, supported by public‑private partnership (PPP) models that will benefit from an AI‑aware legislative body.
