In a bold move towards inclusive governance, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini declared on Tuesday that the state’s 2026-27 budget will be shaped by thousands of public suggestions gathered through innovative AI tools.
Addressing a key pre-budget huddle in Panchkula attended by ministers, parliamentarians, and assembly members, Saini revealed that an AI-based app, rolled out on January 6, has collected more than 9,000 proposals. ‘We will seriously deliberate on all inputs from citizens and lawmakers to create a budget that inspires trust across Haryana,’ he said.
The session focused on Haryana Vision 2047, with participants offering comprehensive recommendations on sectors like industry, education, healthcare, agriculture, and youth empowerment. Saini noted that 12 such meetings have engaged nearly 1,600 stakeholders, generating 1,513 actionable ideas.
Citizens have until January 31 to contribute via the portal, ensuring their voices echo in the final fiscal plan. ‘This budget belongs to 28 million Haryanvis, not just the administration. It will connect today’s requirements with tomorrow’s aspirations,’ the CM asserted.
Echoing PM Modi’s vision, Saini expressed confidence that collaborative efforts will pave the way for a developed Haryana by 2047, marking a new era of participatory budgeting powered by technology.
