Advani’s previous hospital stays and past ICU treatment detailed
Lal Krishna Advani’s medical history with Apollo Hospital stretches back several months. In May 2024, the 98‑year‑old leader was admitted for routine age‑related checks and spent a few days under observation before being discharged.
A year earlier, in December 2024, Advani was placed in the intensive care unit (ICU) of Apollo Indraprastha for a comprehensive medical examination. He was under the care of neurologist Dr. Vineet Suri, and hospital reports indicated that his condition was stable with gradual improvement. By December 17, officials announced that the former deputy prime minister was expected to be shifted out of ICU within a day or two.
These repeated engagements with the same medical chain highlight the reliance of senior political figures on specialized private healthcare in the capital.
