Delhi’s Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s appeal to the centre has resulted in two major express services now stopping at Adarsh Nagar railway station. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav confirmed the inclusion of Delhi‑Kalka Express (train 14331) and Delhi‑Daulatpur Chowk Himachal Express (train 14053) in the station’s timetable.
The move is set to benefit daily commuters and tourists alike, offering a smoother link to Himachal’s hill resorts and Punjab’s sacred destinations. The CM expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the railway ministry for acting promptly, noting that the new halt will cut travel time for thousands of residents who previously had to travel to larger stations.
