BJP leader Abhijit Dipke praises Sonam Wangchuk’s hunger strike end

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Abhijit Dipke expressed gratitude on X after environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk ended her 26‑day hunger strike. Dipke lauded Wangchuk’s courage, describing her sacrifice as a wake‑up call to the nation's conscience.

He thanked her for risking her life to draw attention to the NEET scandal and pledged that the party would continue a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar until Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns. Dipke also noted that the government’s upcoming cabinet meeting would address stricter measures against paper leaks.

Wangchuk concluded her fast in a private hospital in Gurgaon, attended by senior officials, doctors, and family members, after intense pressure from members of Parliament and political parties to end the protest.
