AAP's track record highlighted as Cheema attacks Congress turmoil in Punjab

Harpal Singh Cheema, Punjab's finance minister, took a sharp jab at the Congress party during Bhupesh Baghil's recent state tour. He labelled the party as "discipline‑deficient" and accused its leaders of being driven solely by power ambitions.

Cheema pointed out that while the nation deals with critical challenges, the Punjab Congress is stuck in a vicious cycle of internal bickering. "They chase the chair, but the people of Punjab will not give it to them," he warned.

Turning the spotlight on the Aam Aadmi Party, Cheema reminded listeners that the party kept all five of its promises made four and a half years ago. He expressed confidence that this performance will secure AAP’s hold on power, with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann likely to return to office.

Sources reveal that the Congress infighting intensified as Channi’s supporters disrupted party gatherings. The principal flashpoint appears to be the decision to keep Amrinder Singh Raja Warring as state president, spawning multiple power centers ahead of the 2027 assembly polls.

The minister concluded that a party riddled with internal conflict cannot solve Punjab’s problems and that voters have already decided to place their trust back in the AAP.
