AAP Reinforces Goa Organization with Six-Member Core Committee
New Delhi – Ahead of the 2027 Goa Legislative Assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party announced the creation of a new Core Committee for the state on Sunday. The decision, detailed in a press release dated 4 October 2026 by national secretary Pankaj Kumar Gupta, reflects the party’s strategy to bolster its grassroots presence.
Valmiki Naik, serving as the state president, will chair the six‑member committee. The roster includes MLA Captain Venji Viegas, engineer Cruz Silva, Executive President Gerson Gomes, Organization Secretary Prashant Naik, and Senior Vice‑President Sandesh Telikar‑Desai.
The party expressed confidence in the collective experience of the members and wished them success in their newly assigned duties. The core committee will be instrumental in shaping election tactics, selecting candidates, coordinating campaign logistics, and negotiating potential coalition options.
Having won two seats in the 2022 Goa polls, AAP is keen to expand its influence. Political commentators believe the newly formed committee underscores the party’s ambition to emerge as a credible alternative to the BJP and Congress in what is likely to be a three‑way contest.
