7 Crore Grant‑Backed India Life Sciences Award Launches with Five Categories

A ₹7 crore funded India Life Sciences Award for 2026 has been launched to honour outstanding contributions in five distinct categories, ranging from individual excellence and collaborative innovation to institutional leadership, health‑care start‑ups and ecosystem development.

Four of the categories carry financial assistance, while the remaining two recognise non‑monetary achievements that have significantly advanced innovation and ecosystem building. The award seeks nominations from scientists, research bodies, universities, private innovators and start‑ups.

The submission window runs from 1 July to 10 August, with a fully waived application fee. All entries are to be uploaded via the award’s dedicated website, where applicants must complete a registration process.

An independent jury will evaluate each proposal through a rigorous, transparent methodology. The programme is organised by FICCI in partnership with Lilly, and is supported by BIRAC and Invest India.
