Over 40,000 Travelers Used Khajuraho Airport in First Half of 2026

During the first six months of 2026, Khajuraho Airport recorded close to 40,000 passenger movements, a striking figure considering the year still has half of its months left. The airport witnessed a steady rise in visitor numbers over recent years: 15,701 in 2022, 50,300 in 2023, 49,715 in 2024, and 51,543 in 2025.

The surge reflects growing tourism to the iconic temples of Khajuraho and the effectiveness of recent service enhancements. While temporary disruptions affected regular airline schedules over the past two months, officials anticipate a full restoration of flights by September.
