State Allocates ₹4000 Crore for Annual LPG Subsidy to Low‑Income Families

A ₹4,000 crore allocation has been earmarked by Tamil Nadu to provide three free LPG cylinders annually to roughly 13 lakh families earning up to ₹25 lakh per year. The scheme, called “Annapoorna Super Six,” uses Direct Benefit Transfer to credit the subsidy directly into beneficiaries' bank accounts.
