An earthquake struck Myanmar early Tuesday morning. The tremor registered a magnitude of 4.7 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was located just 27 kilometers from Ukhrul, Manipur, in Myanmar. The extent of damage in Myanmar and surrounding areas is currently unknown.
The earthquake’s proximity to the Indian border caused tremors to be felt in several parts of India, including Manipur, Nagaland, and Assam, in addition to Myanmar. The earthquake occurred around 6:10 AM on Tuesday.
