350 Criminal Cases Filed Against Aazam Khan Family, SP Accuses Political Vendetta

In a coordinated protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, the Samajwadi Party demanded that the government halt the flood of legal actions against former minister Aazam Khan. The party's national secretary, Mohammed Arshad Khan, presented a memorandum to the Prime Minister’s Office, claiming that the rapid registration of about 350 criminal cases against the Khan family was a clear act of political retaliation.

The memorandum states that the cases were filed within just three to four months after the 2019 elections, an unprecedented concentration of charges on a single family. SP leaders argue that such a pattern suggests misuse of administrative authority and raises doubts about whether the allegations are rooted in genuine offenses or are merely tools to punish political opponents.

The party’s statement also urged the authorities to review each case for merit and to drop any that appear to be driven by political motives.
