A game-changing healthcare initiative is underway in Nagpur, where a cutting-edge 350+ bed multi-specialty hospital will rise near Kasturchand Park Metro Station. Quality Care India Limited (QCIL) secured the green light via a Letter of Acceptance, promising to transform medical access across central India.
This ambitious PPP venture with Maha-Metro was formalized at the Advantage Vidarbha Summit on February 7. Heavyweights like CM Devendra Fadnavis and Minister Nitin Gadkari witnessed the handover, alongside Care Hospitals’ Dr. Pavan Kumar.
Positioned on prime 7202 sqm Maha-Metro land in a bustling transit zone, the project allows for expansive 350,000+ sq ft development. Foundation and parking are complete, targeting a three-year timeline with a 600 crore investment from QCIL.
Expect world-class expertise in heart care, cancer treatment, digestive disorders, emergency trauma, and brain sciences. Vidarbha patients will finally access top-tier services without long-distance travel, easing a long-standing burden.
The ripple effects extend to jobs: up to 1800 direct positions and countless indirect ones. For Maha-Metro, it’s a 60-year windfall exceeding 1850 crore from leases and fees.
Varun Khanna of QCIL described it as a blueprint for PPP-driven healthcare, integrating urban development for sustainable, scalable solutions. Perfect for cities like Nagpur bridging tier-2/3 gaps.
Dr. Kumar stressed organized healthcare’s need for such responsive partnerships. This investment strategically builds multi-specialty prowess in tier-2 hubs, blending clinical excellence with local impact. Gratitude flowed to state and central leaders for their backing.
QCIL, powered by Blackstone, oversees Care Hospitals’ network—born in 1997 from Hyderabad, now spanning 17 sites, 3000+ beds, and 33+ specialties across six states. Nagpur’s new gem solidifies their push for equitable, robust regional health networks.
