In a ceremony rich with patriotism, General Upendra Dwivedi, the Indian Army Chief, marked the culmination of the ambitious ‘Bharat Ranbhumi Darshan Abhiyan’ at New Delhi’s National War Memorial. Spanning 3,400 kilometers over grueling landscapes, this odyssey from Dwarka snaked through Gujarat and Rajasthan’s strategic battlefields and frontier posts, conquering inhospitable zones like the vast Rann of Kutch and arid Thar sands.
Organized under the aegis of the Artillery Regiment, the expedition featured a diverse 35-strong contingent from Army, Navy, and BSF units. It spotlighted transformative road networks enhancing both defense mobility and border life. Participants laid wreaths at iconic war sites, interacted with veer naris, ex-servicemen, NCC youth, schoolchildren, and locals, fostering dialogues on valor and vigilance.
The event, attended by top brass and civilians, reinforced the expedition’s mission to reconnect citizens with sacred grounds of sacrifice and awaken patriotic fervor in younger hearts. As General Dwivedi articulated, these journeys keep the flame of history alive, motivating future generations to serve. The enthusiastic receptions along the route symbolized unbreakable civilian-military synergy, signaling India’s armed forces’ blend of tradition and modernity for a stronger tomorrow.
