Around ₹304.98 Crore to Be Disbursed to Meritorious Students on Sept 1

The total quantum to be transferred this year exceeds ₹304.98 crore, covering approximately 1.22 lakh high‑performing learners across the state. Since its launch in 2009‑10, the scheme has aided over four lakh students and the government has spent more than ₹1,000 crore on the initiative. Officials say the cash aid will bridge the digital divide, giving students access to laptops, tablets, and other tools critical for higher studies and the modern job market.
