27 Vacancies in Delhi Higher Judicial Service – Applications Open
The Delhi High Court has announced a direct recruitment process for the Delhi Higher Judicial Service, offering 27 positions—24 currently vacant and three projected. The online application period commenced on 1 July at 10:00 hours and will close on 15 July at 17:30 hours.
Prospective candidates should log on to the court’s official website, fill out the registration form, and submit it before the deadline. Eligibility requires a minimum of seven years of uninterrupted practice for lawyers, while judicial officers must have accumulated at least seven years of combined experience as an advocate and a subordinate judicial officer, or must have completed seven years of practice before joining the service.
The minimum age is 35 years and the maximum is 45 years, measured as of the closing date, with the standard age relaxation granted to reserved categories.
Selection will be conducted through the DHJS 2026 examination comprising three stages: a Preliminary objective test (with a 25 % negative marking scheme), a Main written examination, and a final Viva‑Voce interview. Successful candidates will be appointed with a pay scale of ₹1,44,840 to ₹1,94,660 per month.
The application fee is ₹2,000 for general applicants and ₹500 for SC/ST/other reserved categories and for persons with disability (40 % or more). The Preliminary test is slated for 26 July (Sunday), from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
