2025 Tenzing Norgay Award Nomination Process Detailed for Adventurers

Aspiring adventurers can now submit their applications for the prestigious Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award 2025 via the Ministry’s digital portal.

The nomination period runs from 21 July to 20 August 2026, after which the portal will close for this cycle.

Four award categories – land, marine, air and lifetime achievement – are evaluated to recognize individuals who have pushed the boundaries of Indian adventure sports.

Winners will be honoured with a bronze statue, a formal certificate, a silk tie (or sari) with a blazer, and a cash reward of ₹15 lakh, aligning the award’s prestige with that of the Arjuna Award.

Eligibility is limited to Indian citizens who have demonstrated outstanding adventure accomplishments. Candidates must obtain a recommendation from the relevant state youth or sports department, an accredited adventure body, or, for serving defence personnel, a mandatory endorsement from their service.

The submission must be a single PDF file that outlines achievements in chronological order and includes supporting documentation. For the land, water and air divisions, the committee will review performance records covering the last three calendar years.
